T-Minus 6 days!
May 21, 2009You know that feeling right before you go on vacation? It’s that feeling you get when you realize that you started counting down when there were 70 days before your trip and now there are only 6 days left?! That’s where we are today. As of this morning there are only 6 days left until we fly off from our Pacific Northwest home and land in the Dirty South to spend 7 fun-filled days with my BFF Melissa and her family (which includes her daughter Mia who shared a crib with Kinhly while they lived in Vietnam.) Kinhly and I are calling it our Big-Girls-Only vacation. We hoped to get some time to visit with Chris but timing and finances aren’t really looking in our favor. However, our new friend Michelle will be meeting us to hang out with the fishes and talk Thailand stuff. We hope to be blogging the whole thing, rich with photos and fun times.
This is Kinhly and Mia the last time they were together in 2007 during our vacation to Ohio for the Asian Festival:

And this is them when they were in Vietnam between 2004-2006:

I <3 my Diesel
May 18, 2009Of all my kids, and I have 3 now, and of all the photos I’ve taken of them, there have been thousands and thousands, this shot of Diesel still stands as one of my all time favs. I took it just 40 minutes after he was born. He was propped up on my knees and was giving me the funniest stink-eye, I just had to photograph it. As Diesel is now almost 7 years old I can truly say that this photo sums up his personality pretty darn well.

I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb book photo contest. If chosen, I grant I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites.

I <3 reflections
April 27, 2009I took this photo for a friends wedding a while back but it just happens to fit the theme for this weeks I Heart Faces. It’s my goal to do one every week but this week I was bogged down with homework so I had to use an older photo.
